Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks an Aide for Extracurricular assignments in Herndon Consolidated Elementary and Middle School. This is a current assignment as bus aide, with duties that include supervision and supporting classroom activities.

The role requires manual lifting, first aid/CPR certification, and willingness to assist with instruction and non-academic tasks as part of a busy school program. This is a contract/hourly, extracurricular position.

Qualifications

• Be physically able to lift and assist students
• First Aid/CPR certification is required
• To aid in classroom teaching including planning and general instruction
• Care in feeding, dressing, toileting, and physical mobility as determined by the nature of their handicap

Responsibilities

• Be physically able and willing to lift and assist students as needed
• Provide bus supervision, as needed
• Aid in classroom teaching including planning and general instruction; participate in extra-curricular activities
• Assist with instruction of students as determined by the nature of their handicap; care in feeding, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• First Aid/CPR certification is required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal, Special Services Administrator, or Transportation Director
