Qualifications

• Graduate from high school or equivalent with one of the approved qualifications.
• At least 48 college credits including 3 in mathematics and 3 in English.
• Educational Assistant III requires 1 year general and 1 year specialized experience.
• Driver's license may be required for some positions.
• Lift up to 65 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in a specified area as directed by the teacher and report progress.
• Provide social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities in school or community settings.
• Perform counseling support activities and build rapport with students to support healthy self-concept and social skills.
• Deliver articulation reinforcement lessons and drills under the guidance of a speech pathologist.
