Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum education requirement.
• Willingness to pass required clearances and training for child safety.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, and bending during an eight‑hour day.
• Previous experience with individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Patience, empathy and a true interest in supporting diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities of daily living including hygiene and dressing.
• Provide physical and emotional support to students as needed.
• Follow individualized care plans developed with teachers and nurses.
• Support classroom participation and adapt instructional materials as required.
• Maintain open communication with teachers, parents and staff.
