Job summary

Northwestern Local Schools is seeking a Student Supervision Aide to provide noninstructional supervision in assigned areas. You will actively monitor students, reinforce expectations, and communicate concerns to staff to support safe, orderly, and respectful school operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State-issued One-Year Student Monitor Educational Aide Permit or ability to obtain it with district guidance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in cafeteria, playground, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Maintain continuous visual awareness to monitor areas effectively.
• Reinforce school rules, safety procedures, and expectations fairly.
• Direct student movement to ensure orderly transitions and traffic flow.
• Assist students with routine needs during lunch or supervised periods.
• Report concerns to designated staff and follow district procedures.
