Job summary

Omaha Public Schools in Omaha, NE is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Positive Action Center (PAC) starting August 2025. You will help maintain a positive learning environment and provide academic assistance under the supervision of the School Building Principal.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and crisis-management skills while supporting a diverse student population. This is a 10-month, full-time non-exempt position aligned with OPS policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 semester hours (72 quarter hours) required.
• Previous PAC or ISS/SSC experience preferred.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Interact courteously with PAC administrator/trainers, students, staff, and parents.
• Record data for documentation, accountability, and evaluation.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Provide academic assistance and collect assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers to support student learning.
• Maintain an instructional focus and respond to diverse student needs.
