Job summary

Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine seeks an VetUp! Outreach Coordinator to support and guide the Vet Up! National Academy community. You will report to Dr.

Darryl Ragland and serve as the liaison for partnering institutions, recruiting students and coordinating advising, mentoring, and career-planning activities to help students progress toward a D.V.M. degree. Responsibilities include check-ins with Vet Up!

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to student services or related field.
• Three years of counseling and mentoring experience.
• Experience counseling high school and college students (helpful).

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to Vet Up! community.
• Recruit students from partner institutions into Vet Up! programs.
• Advise students with counselors/advisors to meet educational goals.
• Review transcripts and plan for next educational level.
• Conduct regular check-ins and connect students with resources.
