Job summary

Distinction, LLC, a small Mississippi-based business recently awarded operation of the St. Louis Job Corps Center, seeks a CPP Advisor to liaison between enrollment and center life.

You will support pre-arrival engagement, coordinate arrival-day activities, and implement acclimation programming to boost retention and success. This role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment for incoming students, planning Week 1 workshops, and registering students at the local SLATE Job Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years of youth-work experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-arrival calls to new students and introduce roommates and mentors.
• Provide incoming students with center expectations, security protocols, and what to bring.
• Ensure residential staff are prepared for arrivals with room readiness and welcome baskets.
• Plan arrival day activities, ambassador welcomes, tours, and counselor social intakes.
• Register students at the local SLATE Job Center to facilitate workforce engagement.
• Develop and oversee Week 1 workshops and acclimation activities.
