Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Student Champion for the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center Program (EOC). The specialist will recruit and deliver services to participants, develop partnerships with community agencies and local high schools, and manage a caseload while traveling as needed to support off-site and flexible schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and four years of related experience, with no substitution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all services for EOC students.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, local high schools, and other TRIO programs in the Jefferson County area.
• Recruit 900 students annually for EOC.
• Candidate must be available for evening, weekend and/or offsite assignments with adjusted day/week schedule.
• Must be willing to travel.
