Job summary

West Virginia Department of Education seeks an Academic Interventionist for CSI Title I - Attendance Interventionist (70 days). The role is a contract/hourly extracurricular assignment for professional personnel to provide targeted intervention services to identified students, collaborate with teachers and administrators, and adhere to county intervention delivery models.

The position requires a valid WV Teaching Certificate and a minimum of five years of teaching experience; responsibilities

Qualifications

• A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum Five (5) years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide intervention services to identified students needing additional instruction.
• Collaborate with core and support teachers, school principal, and county curriculum department to analyze student performance data and plan intervention strategies.
• Participate in and utilize professional development relevant to instructional delivery of a high quality standards-based program.
• Implement and follow the county model in the delivery of instructional intervention strategies.
• Submit required documents in a timely manner.
