Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Student Service Coordinator to support students in developing personal, educational and career plans aligned with the CSUSA mission. You will help students achieve success by providing counseling, guidance, and resources to families.

Responsibilities include conducting conferences, offering individual and group counseling, maintaining records, and coordinating guidance programs in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Possession of valid state certification.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience of successful teaching or counseling services.
• Criminal and employment background checks required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office and Student Information System (SIS).

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and conducts parent and student conferencing according to school policy.
• Provides individual counseling sessions for assigned students dealing with personal needs and career plans.
• Provides small and large group counseling sessions as needed.
• Assists students in course selections and scheduling; helps prevent dropping out.
• Maintains counseling records and prepares recommendations for colleges and scholarships.
• Assists with planning for inclusionary practices and coordinating guidance services.
