Job summary

Oak Ridge Schools is seeking a qualified School Counselor for ORHS to provide counseling services to students and parents on academic and personal matters.

The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree and a Tennessee teaching license with a counseling endorsement. Responsibilities include academic program planning and collaborating with teachers to enhance student support. The salary range is $48,647.00 to $88,358.00 based on a 206-day contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s degree and a Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate counseling endorsement (087, 487).
• Teaching and/or school counseling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Tennessee School Counseling Model Framework.

Responsibilities

• Counsel individually and in groups with students and parents on academic and personal matters.
• Assist in testing, evaluating, and assessing students.
• Assist with student academic program planning.
• Work cooperatively with administration and teachers to identify and resolve student issues, needs, and problems.
• Collaborate with teachers to offer counseling lessons and needed services.
