Job summary

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in counseling and have a strong understanding of counseling practices and student support strategies. This full-time position does not offer remote work options.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and completion of an approved school counseling program.
• Successful full-time teaching or school guidance and counseling.
• Eligibility for appropriate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support personal-social, mental health, academic needs, and career readiness of students.
• Provide counseling on personal growth and maturity.
• Create classroom instruction on personal-social and bullying prevention.

Skills

Knowledge of the structure and components of an effective school counseling program

Knowledge of barriers to student learning

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional issues in public education

Ability to use technology effectively
