Job summary

Berkeley Charter Education Association in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a dedicated Guidance Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling to students, including academic guidance, career planning, and personal/social development.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and community resources, maintain confidential student records, participate in assessments, and provide crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid South Carolina School Counselor Certification.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques and ethical standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Assist students in developing academic and career plans.
• Implement programs that promote personal and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs.
• Coordinate with community agencies to provide additional support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
• Participate in student assessment and intervention processes.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Educate students and staff on topics related to mental health and well-being.
• Any other duties as assigned.
