Job summary

KIPP Memphis Public Schools seeks an Education Assistant to support classroom instruction and student learning across its North Memphis campuses. You will collaborate with teachers to implement daily lesson plans, prepare materials, and provide targeted support to students in small groups.

The role requires an associate degree or higher (or equivalent credits), HS diploma, and a background working with diverse urban students.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or 48 college credits, or passing ParaPro, plus a HS diploma.
• Experience with urban or diverse student populations preferred.
• Ability to communicate with students, staff and families effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily lesson plans in coordination with the instructor.
• Prepare materials for student projects.
• Provide individual assistance to small groups to aid concept understanding.
• Adhere to school rules and policies.
• Ensure student safety during class, field trips, and on campus.
• Support teacher with grading and record-keeping; monitor progress.
