Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in higher education, academic advising, student services, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply academic policies, degree requirements, and university procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic advising and degree services for students in designated programs, including guidance on degree progress and graduation requirements.
  • Conduct degree audits; evaluate and apply transfer credit; review petitions and substitutions.
  • Support student retention by identifying barriers and developing solutions with students and faculty.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies, curricula, degree requirements, and substitutions for accurate guidance.
  • Respond to questions from students, faculty, staff, and others via email, phone, online platforms, and in-person.
  • Participate in Undergraduate and Graduate Studies Committees and interpret policies and catalog content.
  • Assist with semester academic reviews and determine student academic standing and related classifications.
