Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a classically trained Kitchen Assistant to support the culinary team. You will maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area, wash utensils and dishes, stock supplies, and help keep equipment in order while contributing to a positive atmosphere for coworkers and customers.

This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in a busy environment with hot surfaces and sharp objects.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Working knowledge operating a commercial dishwasher.
• Familiar with the industry's best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes using a dishwasher or by hand
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
• Sweep and wash floors
• Assist in unloading and putting away deliveries
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
• Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts
