Position Details

Location: Grand Rapids - Lettinga Campus

Department: CCL-Housing & Res Life

Pay Range: $12.48/hour

Target Range: Actual pay depends on qualifications, experience, and funding.

Responsibilities
  • Support safety and security in the residence hall.
  • Greet and assist visitors, fostering a welcoming community.
  • Understand and enforce university policies.
  • Handle phone calls and mail delivery efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Attend training and team meetings.
  • Perform clerical duties such as posting signs, message delivery, and inventory management.
  • Assist with front desk operations and organize team activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and uphold university values.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credits (undergrad) or 3 credits (grad), maintaining good academic standing.
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Preference for residents of the halls.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with computerized systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidentiality.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
