Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Law School is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to join the Dean of Law School team. You will work closely with students and student leaders to support organizations, events, budgets, and university processes.

Reporting to the Director of Student Services, you’ll help plan Welcome Week, Commencement, exams, and weekly communications while maintaining a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or up to three years of college or technical school.
  • 3–4 years of experience in a University or educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with prioritization and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working directly with students and presenting information to groups.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for Law School student organizations and leaders.
  • Advise students on programming, event logistics, policies, budgets, and space.
  • Meet regularly with student leaders to support events and activities.
  • Support five law school journals and Moot Court Board events and travel.
  • Process reimbursements, invoices, and transfers between clubs or departments.
  • Help student organizations understand and manage their budgets.
  • Partner on Law School merchandise, orders, payments, inventory, vendors, and licensing.
  • Support Welcome Week, Commencement, and exam administration.
  • Manage the department’s weekly email communication to students.
  • Provide additional administrative and event support to advance the goals of the Student Services Office.

Be Part of the Student Experience

The Student Services Coordinator plays an important role in building community and supporting the student experience at Notre Dame Law School. Working closely with law students and student leaders, you’ll help student organizations navigate University processes, coordinate events and activities, manage budgets and financial transactions, and support some of the Law School’s most important student experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Student Services, you’ll join a highly collaborative Student Services team committed to creating an environment where all students can thrive.

What You’ll Do

Student Organizations & Engagement

  • Serve as a resource for Law School student organizations and their leaders.
  • Approve NDCentral requests and advise students on programming, event logistics, policies, budgets, and student organization space.
  • Meet regularly with student leaders to answer questions and provide support for events and activities.
  • Support the five Law School academic journals and the Moot Court Board, including symposium events and Moot Court travel.
  • Process student and guest speaker reimbursements, invoices, and transfers between clubs or departments.
  • Help student organizations understand and manage their budgets.
  • Partner with the Student Bar Association on Law School merchandise, including orders, online payments, inventory, vendors, and University licensing requirements.

Events & Student Services

  • Support Student Services programming and major events, including Welcome Week, Commencement, and exam administration.
  • Manage the department’s weekly email communication to students.
  • Provide additional administrative and event support to help advance the goals of the Student Services Office.

  • Associate’s degree or up to three years of college or technical school.
  • 3–4 years of experience working in a University or educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with appropriate prioritization and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate policies and processes.
  • Comfort working directly with students and presenting information to groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a college student-facing role.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Forms, Gmail, and Calendar.
  • Experience with NDCentral/Anthology.
  • Familiarity with Notre Dame administrative and financial platforms, including TravelND/Concur, BuyND, Financial Toolkit, and GLEZ.
  • Experience with EMS calendaring.
  • Experience with email newsletter platforms such as MailChimp or Emma.

Additional Information

Hiring Pay Range: $18 - $23/Hour | Commensurate with experience

Required Documents: Resume & Cover Letter

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch.

Seasonal Needs: Overtime may be required during busier times of the academic year, including Welcome Week, exams, and Commencement.

Hybrid Flexibility: Up to one remote day per week during the academic year and up to two remote days per week during academic breaks, as work responsibilities allow.
