Position Overview:
Lewiston Regional Technical Center (LRTC) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Student Services Coordinator to serve as a key liaison between students, families, sending school guidance counselors, faculty, and the community. Working under the general supervision of the Director, the Student Services Coordinator will implement and organize school-based services to support student success. This role involves student outreach, admissions coordination, career planning, recruiting potential students and community engagement to ensure all students have access to valuable CTE education.

Salary: $43,350.73 - $81,769.12 (SY25/26)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic and personal concerns.
  • Maintain communication with sending school counselors regarding student conduct, behavior, grades, and attendance.
  • Promote LRTC programs within school districts and communities within the LRTC service area.
  • Plan and coordinate middle school engagement activities such as Trades 4 ME and April Break Camps.
  • Develop and manage marketing materials, including videos, flyers, brochures, and digital content.
  • Provide leadership for the LRTC/LHS/ELHS Bridge Academy partnership.
  • Assist in maintaining the LRTC website and main lobby slides.
  • Oversee Student of the Month nominations and awards.
  • Manage LRTC’s social media presence for public relations and student recruitment efforts.
  • Represent LRTC at community outreach events as needed.
  • Recruit students for LRTC programs by visiting sending schools and conducting outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate and lead tours for prospective students, school faculty, and other interested groups (including middle school students and 6th graders from sending schools).
  • Plan and oversee sophomore tours of LRTC.
  • Organize new student orientation activities.
  • Oversee the LRTC admissions process.
  • Partner with local businesses to create educational and career opportunities for students.
  • Attend monthly Chamber of Commerce meetings to maintain and strengthen community relationships.
  • Attend monthly Directors of Guidance meetings and statewide Student Services Coordinators meetings.
  • Manage records for all dual enrollment programs.
  • Provide post-secondary planning services, including scholarship searches and FAFSA completion assistance.
  • Assist in facilitating LRTC grants as needed.
  • Support the Bridge Academy program and coordinate activities with Lewiston High School’s Aspirations Coordinator and Edward Little’s LRTC Liaison.
  • Order and facilitate administration of state and national assessments such as NOCTI, Precision, or CTECS.
  • Act as the EMBARK liaison for LRTC, assisting students with the application process and coordinating student interviews.
  • Organize special events such as vacation camps for middle or elementary students.
  • Attend IEP/504 meetings when necessary.
  • Assist sending school students with PowerSchool login issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, student services, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with students, families, and educational institutions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of career and technical education (CTE) programs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technology and social media management.
