Job summary

SUMMARY

The Student Services Coordinator will work under the direction of the Building Principal to contribute to the daily operation of the school. The coordinator will support the staff to ensure the learning and advancement of all students.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee 504 Plans
  • Oversee Behavior Plans
  • Serve as Local Education Agency representative for Special Education meetings
  • Complete investigations related to bullying, harassment and other behavioral or disciplinary issues
  • Manage student discipline and/or behavioral issues
  • Oversee the professional development plans for paraprofessionals
  • Maintain regular communication between the school and the home, School Resource Officer, Truant Officer/FIT Coordinator, DCYF and any other related service providers
  • Implement safety procedures and protocols to meet local and state guidelines (i.e. fire drills, lockdown procedures, etc.)
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Building Principal, or as needed, to ensure the safe operation of the elementary school
