Job summary

Livermoreschools is seeking a Yard Duty Supervisor to support student safety and conduct on school property during assigned periods. Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, enforcing campus rules, and reporting incidents to help maintain a safe environment for all students.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience with school-age students is preferred.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: Six months of experience as a supervisor of school age students is desired.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
• EQUIVALENCY: A combination of education, training and/or job experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
• REQUIRED TESTING: Pre-employment proficiency test may be required.
• CLEARANCES: Meet employment requirements as applicable with state, federal, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Inform students of acceptable school behavior.
• Monitor student conduct in and around campus; enforce campus rules and regulations.
• Immediately report student injuries to the site administrator or designee, and complete required accident forms.
• Intercede in potential problem situations between students; write referrals when necessary.
• Patrol duty areas, supervise students outside of class, and inform administrators of issues.
• Direct tardy students to the appropriate school office.
• Escort students to administration in cases of serious or repeated violations.
• Recognize and report signs of unusual activity; intercept non-students on campus.
• Assist in maintaining safety of duty areas and verify visitor identification.
• Wear District-designated attire; communicate effectively with staff and students.
