Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Student Respiratory Therapist to support patient care under supervision. This role contributes to assessment, treatment and monitoring of cardiopulmonary function in a busy hospital setting.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled or have completed an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, hold an Oklahoma RCP license, and are ready to obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or completed Respiratory Associate degree program.
• Must possess a current Oklahoma RCP license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, treatment, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
• Consults with physicians.
• Provides consultation, instruction and/or technical direction of medical, nursing and other staff members.
