Qualifications

• This grant requires that the person selected for this position be a U.S. citizen.
• Current undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno
• Major in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Must be in junior or senior standing
• Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during the semester
• The job site is not on main campus. Must be able to commute to the SAGE building: 5625 Fox Ave Reno, NV 89506.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with computer science, engineering, and interdisciplinary research projects
• Developing, testing, and maintaining software, scripts, or computational tools
• Supporting data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization
• Assisting with laboratory systems, equipment, and research technology
• Troubleshooting technical issues and developing solutions
• Documenting research activities, procedures, and results
• Working collaboratively with faculty, researchers, engineers, and other student researchers
• Learning new technical skills and applying classroom knowledge to real-world research
