Job Title: Student Recruitment Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Education
Location: Stars School and Learning Center

Hourly position up to 20 hours per week $30.00-$45.00 per hour depending on experience.

Overview

Stars School and Learning Center, serving students in grades 1–6 with dyslexia and language-based learning needs, is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused professional to join our team as the Student Recruitment Coordinator. This individual will play a vital role in identifying and informing families, school departments, advocates, educational tutors, educational consultants, attorneys, special education specialists, and additional stakeholders about The Stars School and Learning Center and the educational programming available. The Student Recruitment Coordinator will develop and engage in daily outreach activities to ensure awareness of educational program with the goal of increasing student enrollment.

Responsibilities
  • Create, oversee, and participate in student recruitment initiatives, including school fairs, open houses, community outreach, information sessions, partnership events and more. These activities will take place during day and evening hours as well as weekends and weekdays.
  • Assist in developing recruitment materials and communications that highlight the school’s mission and programming.
  • Provide personalized assistance and guidance to all stakeholders to ensure awareness about academic programming and the enrollment process.
  • Collaborate with academic, administrative, and support teams to manage, oversee, and ensure the smooth transition from recruitment to application and enrollment process for new students/stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families, interested stakeholders addressing questions and providing information and resources in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of stakeholder information in compliance with school/agency policies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as school policies, related to admissions and enrollment.
  • Assist in developing recruitment materials, social media, engagement opportunities, and communications that highlight the school’s academics, mission and programming.
  • Track and report on recruitment and enrollment metrics to inform planning and strategy. Successfully meet target enrollment.
  • Other reasonable duties in keeping with Stars’ mission as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in admissions, recruitment, customer service, school operations, or public relations.
  • Excellent presentation skills, as well as interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with potential stakeholders, families and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of, experience with, or appreciation for students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and student information systems.

Physical Requirements
