Job summary

Education & Training Resources LLC is seeking a Recreation Specialist to organize and supervise student recreation activities at our Excelsior Springs, MO location. The role involves coordinating on- and off-campus programs and supervising staff and volunteers.

You will develop diverse programs, teach healthy lifestyle choices, and manage schedules, transportation, and equipment to meet center standards. A valid driver's license is required, with CDL-B endorsement within six months and water

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field or 1 year related experience.
• One year of recreation experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• CDL Class B with passenger endorsement within six months; Water Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises on and off-center recreation activities for students.
• Develops and implements diverse programs including arts and crafts, intramurals, cultural events.
• Guides students in fitness, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Prepares schedules and coordinates field trips.
• Maintains recreation facilities, equipment, and materials to Center standards.
• Tracks attendance and records program participation.
• Orders and maintains recreational equipment, supplies and materials.
• Provides transportation of students to and from center-sponsored events.
• Reinforces students' positive behavior.
