Job summary

Northern Wyoming Community College District is seeking a 3-D Technician for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two positions are available and filled based on class schedule.

The role supports the Art Faculty by keeping Sculpture studios, wood shop, metal shop, foundry, and forges running safely. Responsibilities include assisting the Sculpture Instructor, maintaining Wood and Metals studios, monitoring safety, and helping with general upkeep.

Qualifications

• Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college.
• Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater.
• Sheridan College student currently enrolled.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Sculpture Instructor, assist in managing the Wood and Metals studios.
• Monitor safety in the Wood and Metals studios.
• Help with general upkeep within these areas.
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Position Information

Job Summary

The 3-D Technician will assist the Art Faculty to make sure the Sculpture studios including the wood shop, metal shop, foundry, and forges are run in a safe and healthy manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

General knowledge of the sculptural process, wood shop safety, and metal shop equipment a plus. Ability to safely handle tools and materials in a responsible manner a must. Preferably an Art major with an interest in sculpture, wood or metal, but student can be trained.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working with a variety of art materials and different situations in a safe and healthy manner.
• Dirty, dusty, loud working environments.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
