Job summary

CHI Health Plainview is seeking a Student Nurse Tech to support RN staff with essential patient care tasks. You will provide direct care, document activities, and help prepare patients for procedures while maintaining empathy and strong communication with patients and families.

You will gain hands-on clinical experience in a 15-bed critical access facility serving Pierce, Antelope and Knox counties, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and collaborative teamwork in a dynamic medical/surgical

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and in good standing at hire.
• Nursing program graduate completion considered for hire.
• Nursing licenses or ranges of licensure in NE upon hire as applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care support under RN supervision.
• Document delegated patient care tasks for diverse medical/surgical patients.
• Assist in admission, discharge and transfer processes as needed.
• Communicate updates on patient condition to the RN.
• Maintain organized work environment and manage supplies and equipment.
• Participate in ongoing education and orientation to RN role.
