Job summary

Regency Hospital - Cleveland West in Middleburg Heights, OH seeks a Student Nurse Technician (Future Registered Nurse) for a Per Diem schedule. You must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and provide proof of the first year fundamentals to gain hands-on inpatient post-ICU experience.

You'll assist with vital signs, basic care, specimen collection and mobility support under RN supervision, designed to align with NCLEX preparation and nursing education.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars, bladder scans, routine urine/stool specimen collection, ostomy care and drainage.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN.
• Deliver meals and snacks, assist with feeding and document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely and assist with mobility.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.
