Regency Hospital invites applications for a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) in East Chicago, IN. Per diem schedule with compensation of $19.00 per hour, and requirements to be enrolled in an ADN or BSN program with proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals.

The role offers hands-on experience aligned with NCLEX preparation, extensive orientation, and potential advancement within a large hospital system.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ADN or BSN program; provide proof of first year/fundamentals.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographics.
• Assist with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger sticks, bladder scans, and specimen collection.
• Deliver meals and assist feeding; document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist with mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.
