Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is seeking a SNAP (Student Nurse) PCU to join as PRN. You will assist in delivering safe, basic nursing care under RN supervision, aligning with patient-centered care principles.

Open to qualified nursing students in active programs, with a focus on service excellence and teamwork. The role supports a busy acute-care environment with opportunities across UHS locations.

Qualifications

• Completed the first semester at an accredited Nursing school (ASN or BSN program).
• Current American Heart Association BLS required at time of hire.
• Concurrent enrollment in a RN Nursing program or a graduate waiting initial NCLEX.
• Recommendation from a School of Nursing Instructor.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment.
• Prior CNA experience preferred.

Job Overview:

Assists the unit with providing safe, competent basic nursing care for patients in accordance with approved competencies, facility policies/practices, standards, philosophy under the direction of an RN. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
