Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has enhanced community services to care for the growing pediatric population in our region. With 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship children’s hospital within Atrium Health, offering over 125 pediatric subspecialists across 30+ specialties. The hospital features 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children’s Hospital is Charlotte’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, staffed by pediatric emergency medicine-trained doctors. Job Summary
The Student Nurse Scholar I+4 participates in the Nurse Scholar Program, assisting in patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment and performing duties safely per policies. The role promotes a culture of excellence and maintains competency relevant to the patient population served.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, bend, stretch, stoop, push, and pull. Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Good understanding of English, manual dexterity, and finger skills are required.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Currently enrolled in a Registered Nurse academic program, with at least the first semester completed preferred. Must be listed with the NC Department of Health and Human Services Nurse Aide I Registry before starting. BLS certification required. Completion of Nurse Aide I+4 Course, including e-learning and instructor-led skills practice, is required, with validation by an RN before independent performance.
