Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a Student Nurse Aide to support licensed nursing staff and provide holistic patient care under the supervision of an RN preceptor.
You will perform duties once competencies are validated, assist with activities of daily living, respond to call lights promptly, and document care in the EMR. Enrollment in an accredited RN program and ongoing transcript submission are required.

Under the direction of the registered nurse, the purpose of this position is to provide holistic care for patients and families served.
Required: BLS
Preferred: Current CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification
Required: Current enrollment in an accredited RN program with successful completion of at least one semester.
Employee must submit updated transcript to HR each term and notify Manager and HR of any changes in nursing program enrollment.
Participation in an approved Work Study Program affiliated with the school of nursing OR current Kaweah Health employment while enrolled in a Kaweah Health/Unitek nursing program eligible for the practice and academic partnership (not for academic credit) required.
The Student Nurse Aide (SNA) is responsible for having the college/university's student skills competency checklist available at all times while working as a SNA. School checklist duties may only be performed when school is in session and only after skills have been validated by the school of Nursing in conjunction with the KH RN preceptor. PLEASE NOTE: Performance of skills and duties identified on the college/university skills checklist that are strictly prohibited include, but are not limited to the following: IV initiation and therapy, medication administration, obtaining and processing of physician orders, glucose monitoring, all Point of Care (POC) testing, and similar procedures. The SNA may continuously perform (including non-instructional days) the following duties upon completion of Kaweah Health position/unit specific competencies.
