Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks a Student Nurse Aide to provide holistic care under the direction of the RN. You will support nursing staff, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure patient comfort while maintaining confidentiality.
The role requires enrollment in an accredited RN program, current BLS, and participation in a Kaweah Health/Unitek work-study nursing program. Training emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork.

Under the direction of the registered nurse, the purpose of this position is to provide holistic care for patients and families served.
Essential The Student Nurse Aide (SNA) is responsible for having the college/university’s student skills competency checklist available at all times while working as a SNA. School checklist duties may only be performed when school is in session and only after skills have been validated by the school of Nursing in conjunction with the KH RN preceptor.
PLEASE NOTE: Performance of skills and duties identified on the college/university skills checklist that are strictly prohibited include, but are not limited to the following: IV initiation and therapy, medication administration, obtaining and processing of physician orders, glucose monitoring, all Point of Care (POC) testing, and similar procedures.
Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care. Performs other duties as assigned.
