Job summary

You will join Young Life as Student Staff II in Michigan, engaging in field ministry and training to participate in effective Young Life ministry. You will develop personal spiritual growth plans and build relationships within local churches and clubs.

Responsibilities include leadership development, recruiting new volunteers, and supporting camp and club activities, with opportunities to participate in fundraising and donor engagement. A college degree pursuit is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan fostering spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word.
• Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Meet with your volunteer leaders and area leadership on a regular basis.
• Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
