McLean Bible Church in Ashburn, Virginia seeks a Director of Student Ministry for MBC Loudoun to lead a ministry to middle school and high school students and families centered on Jesus. This leader will guide a ministry rooted in Scripture and focused on helping students take meaningful next steps of faith.

The role calls for recruiting and shepherding a Serve Team of adult volunteers, teaching God’s Word in student settings, and partnering with parents to disciple the next generation for Jesus

Qualifications

• Must be a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ.
• Proven ability to equip students and leaders to make disciples.
• Spiritually mature and emotionally healthy leader.
• Theologically aligned with MBC doctrine.
• Ability to inspire and shepherd adult volunteers.
• Missionary-minded to reach unchurched and spiritually curious students.
• Able to build ministry rhythms and leadership development pathways.
• Open to feedback and ongoing development.
• Excellent communication with parents and students.
• Collaborative team member who handles conflict biblically.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a missionary-minded Student Ministry strategy that reaches, disciples, and sends students across Loudoun County with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Build a culture where every student is encouraged to reach one person with the gospel and take next steps as a disciple of Jesus.
• Recruit, inspire, equip, and shepherd a Serve Team of adult leaders who joyfully do the work of ministry.
• Faithfully teach God’s Word in Student Ministry environments in a biblically grounded, culturally aware way.
• Disciple and develop student leaders who are growing in Christ and serving the church.
• Partner with parents by providing encouragement, resources, and practical tools for everyday discipleship.
• Create welcoming environments where students build relationships, hear the gospel, and take next steps toward Jesus.
• Collaborate with the MBC Student Ministry team to plan events like Winter Camp and Summer Camp.
• Establish and maintain clear safety, security, and care practices that protect minors.
