Job description

Student Minister - Lead Staff (Full-Time)

Reports to: Executive Minister

Scope

The Student Minister is a champion and team leader of outreach and discipleship with middle school and high school students at North Terrace. This position leads NT Students by working with leaders, coaches, and teams who strive to provide relational environments where students can do life together, disciple each other, and pursue One More on a week-to-week basis. The Student Minister works with parents and guardians to support and amplify the spiritual influence at home. This position also fulfills other leadership responsibilities critical to the pursuit of One More.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Leaders: Engage and equip volunteers to serve students, training them to meet expectations set by the Student Minister.
  • Leadership Development: Cast vision and have ICNU (I See In You) conversations with adults and students, guiding them into leadership roles.

NT Students (40%)

  • Events/Activities/Programs: Develop and execute strategies to reach One More student through outreach, discipleship, and leadership development.
  • Curriculum: Develop and implement teaching plans to increase knowledge of Bible, theology, and worldview, equipping students to be faithful followers of Jesus and share their faith.
  • Service: Create opportunities for students and leaders to serve in the community and globally, pursuing God's One More.

Parents/Guardians (20%)

  • Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies with parents/guardians.
  • Support: Provide training opportunities to support parents/guardians as primary spiritual influencers in students' lives.

Measured Outcomes

  • Participation in Discipleship Groups and service opportunities.
  • Attendance at NT Student events and programs.
  • Number of adults and students serving in leadership/volunteer roles.
