Job summary

RESPEC is offering a Summer Internship 2027 for Student Mechanical or Electrical Engineers in Anchorage, AK or Juneau, AK. This temporary part-time internship provides exposure to infrastructure design, construction documents, and field observations, with mentoring from senior staff.

Interns will assist with mechanical or electrical tasks, work 40 hours per week in the summer, and gain experience across facilities projects while collaborating with architects and a multi-discipline team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university studying toward a degree in electrical engineering.
• Prior experience in design or construction.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical calculations, design and construction administration tasks.
• Support electrical engineering staff in design and construction projects.
• Collaborate with mentors, field inspectors and architects on projects.
