Job summary

WORK Microwave GmbH is seeking a working student to support the development of automation test scripts for satellite modem testing. This part-time position (maximum 20 hours per week) offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment focused on innovation.

The ideal candidate will have university studies related to computer science or engineering, basic programming skills, and a keen interest in satellite communication systems. A thorough onboarding and support for long-term placement are provided.

Responsibilities

• Understand existing automation framework and extend automation tests based on requirements.
• Document test scripts as a test verification/validation report.
• Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing system tests.
• Understand satellite modem functionality and contribute towards defining system test requirements.

For our Satcom Digital product line, we are looking for a working student (m/f/d) for a maximum of 20 hours per week during the lecture period to support the team in development of automation test scripts for satellite modem (RF/Optical) system testing.

What you can expect in this role

• Understanding existing automation framework and extending the automation tests based on defined requirements
• Documenting the test scripts implemented as a test verification/validation report
• Contribution to the enhancement and optimization of existing system tests
• Understanding the satellite modem functionality (RF/Optical) and contributing towards defining more system test requirements together with system engineers

What you can contribute:

• University studies in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering or similar field
• Basic programming skills in Python, C, C++
• Good understanding in Linux OS and IP network
• Interest in satellite communication ground systems
• Basic hardware knowledge is an advantage
• Structured, independent working style and team spirit
• Language skills: Good English skills are required; basic knowledge of German is an advantage
