Job summary

Indian Prairie Community Unit School District is seeking a Lunchroom Supervisor for Steck Elementary School to monitor student behavior during lunch and recess, supervise serving lines, seating, and dismissal, and assist students with trays and meals.

You will maintain a safe lunch environment, follow district policies and HACCP food-safety procedures, and report injuries or incidents promptly. Rate of pay is $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise students in lunchrooms and playgrounds.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to follow district policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating and during lunchroom dismissal.
• Assists students in securing trays, food, seating and dismissal.
• Circulates among tables to provide assistance or resolve minor issues.
• Maintains discipline in the lunchroom according to school and district policies.
• Follows HACCP food safety procedures and reports injuries or incidents promptly.
• Supervises recess and enforces playground safety rules.
