Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, IL. This role provides proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the program, in compliance with government and management directives.

You will work with counselors to develop retention plans, coordinate student visits, and supervise dorm activities. Excellent communication, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year experience with youth preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in computer use.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to students to maintain positive group living relations and achievement.
• Determine and arrange student visits to counselors; develop retention plans.
• Direct dorm activities and supervise students for safety and behavior.
• Perform daily dorm inspections and maintain student records in CIS.
• Support career preparation activities and CSS training; provide customer service.
