Job summary

University of North Texas at Dallas is offering a Student Leadership Success Program Intern- Internal in Dallas. This part-time internship provides operational support to ensure leadership development, scholarships, retention, and student engagement initiatives.

The intern assists the Executive Director with department operations, communications, event planning, program tracking, onboarding, IT, marketing, budgeting, and office management while handling routine tasks and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled UNT Dallas student in good standing working toward degree or certification.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work professionally with students, faculty, staff, donors, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of higher education student support environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, databases, and CRM systems is preferred.
  • Ability to support fast-paced student-centered programming.

Responsibilities

  • IT & Data Analytics support for the department.
  • Assist with departmental purchasing, invoices, travel requests, reimbursements, and budget tracking.
  • Coordinate events and student engagement activities.
  • Schedule workshops, mentoring activities, leadership events, and outreach.
  • Serve as a welcoming first contact for students, families, faculty, and partners.
  • Assist with student tracking, engagement documentation, and program communications.
  • Manage calendars and scheduling for the Executive Director and initiatives.

Position Overview

The Student Leadership & Success Intern serves as a central operational and support role for the Department of Student Leadership & Success. This position provides high-level coordination, communication, logistical, and programmatic support to ensure the successful execution of leadership development, scholarship, retention, student engagement, and Early College High School initiatives. The intern will assist the Executive Director in managing departmental operations, student communications, event coordination, program tracking, reporting, scheduling, purchasing, onboarding, IT, marketing and communication, and office management while supporting key institutional initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled UNT Dallas student, in good standing, and making satisfactory progress toward completion of a degree or certification program.

Job Duties
