Salary Range: $11.50-$12.50/hr, based on experience.

Start Date: 08/04/2024

Location: Athens Area

Position Type: Employee, Part-time (FTE 0.50)

Responsibilities include:

  1. Feeding, watering, and caring for research animals (chickens/turkeys); cleaning cages and facilities; maintaining sanitary conditions according to SOPs; handling and transporting animals.
  2. Maintaining accurate records of animal and feed inventory, care schedules, and related documentation.
  3. Operating disinfecting equipment and performing grounds maintenance as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with poultry animal care preferred. Must be able to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and sanitation tasks.
