Job summary

Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI seeks an IT Applications Programmer (Student Position) to learn and assist with SQL, Oracle databases, web design and programming. You will support reporting, data feeds, and webpage upgrades; assist in testing upgrades and documenting tasks.

The role is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, supporting IT Services and campus initiatives as a student employee. This position offers hands-on experience in data management, software development, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Be a team player.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Preferred experience in HTML or programming language or database query and/or design.
• Preferred student in their 2nd or 3rd year at Ferris.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating reports or data feeds from Oracle or SQL table.
• Assist on webpage upgrades; assist in testing of upgrades.
• Assist with creating reports using WebFocus reporting tool.
• Assist with documentation on tasks or projects.
• This is a Monday–Friday position with the office open 8:00am to 5:00pm.
