The role involves maintaining records, developing marketing plans, training peer mentors, and coordinating risk management to ensure compliance with laws and policies. Starting salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of related experience coordinating events.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate participation and financial records for sponsored programs and activities.
• Develops marketing plans and publicity through various forms of media; coordinates activities to secure external/grant funding for projects and extended services.
• Advises and trains an inclusive group of peer mentors to promote and facilitate programs.
• Develops innovative strategies to increase involvement in student organizations.
• Ensures that student organizations are in alignment with Federal, State, and University laws and policies by coordinating risk management training, orientation, and updating the student handbook.
• Plans and delivers educational seminars, workshops, and activities for campus student organizations, housing, and academic classes.
