Job summary

Petersburg High School seeks a Paraprofessional (Intervention Support Facilitator) to provide targeted intervention support for students. The Para-Professional reports to the Principal and this is a 10-month, non-exempt position.

The successful candidate will assist with behavior guidance, small group instruction, and collaboration with teachers and counselors to monitor student progress and support classroom objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance for students in appropriate behavior and interactions at school
• Implements reflection and self-growth activities for student participants
• Holds students accountable for their actions
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter
• Provides small group instruction and monitors student work
• Encourages independent thinking and expression of ideas
• Communicates progress with classroom teachers, guidance counselor and administration
• Demonstrates professionalism by cooperating with staff and students
• Performs other related duties as requested by the Principal
