The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking an Internship Coordinator for Wediko NY LTW to place students in paid internships, run certification courses, and oversee onboarding. You will collaborate withWediko staff, schools, and community partners to ensure successful placements and ongoing supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in school-based direct services or related work, with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in the Social Sciences, Public and/or Education Policy Administration (e.g., MSW, M.S. Ed, MPA/P) a plus.
• 3+ years experience providing school-based direct service or residential treatment.
• 1+ year of experience with job development, staff supervision, human resources, or related areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to approach challenges in a supportive and creative manner.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit high-schoolers to student internship program.
• Facilitates trainings to build skills, competency, and professionalism.
• Oversee interviews and onboarding to mirror real-world employment processes.
• Match students with internships aligned to interests and skill level.
• Perform site visits to monitor intern performance.
• Provide guidance to students addressing performance issues.
• Develop partnerships to provide varied internship opportunities.
• Facilitate resume building and career readiness workshops.
• Administer HR documents, timesheets, and contracts.
• Coordinate communication among students, families, partners, and school staff.
• Assist with attendance issues; provide crisis counseling and social-emotional support.
• Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary planning for student progress.
