Valley Children's pediatric surgeons specialize in the repair of congenital and acquired conditions in infants, children and adolescents. Each year our team performs about 3,000 pediatric surgeries and more than 200 types of surgical procedures, ranging from routine to rare and complex.

Valley Children's pediatric surgeons specialize in the repair of congenital and acquired conditions in infants, children and adolescents. Each year our team performs about 3,000 pediatric surgeries and more than 200 types of surgical procedures, ranging from routine to rare and complex.

Our dedicated and experienced pediatric surgery team works closely with our other pediatric specialists, pediatric anesthesiologists, advanced medical providers and certified medical assistants. In addition, a host of other specialists - including dietitians, child life specialists, occupational and physical therapists - support each child for the best outcome.

Valley Children's is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, as designated by the Central California Emergency Medical Services (CCEMS) Agency. It is the only pediatric trauma center in Central California. Critically injured children can be transported directly to Valley Children's Hospital, ensuring they receive the expert pediatric care they deserve as quickly as possible.

Job Summary

Provide a unique opportunity to interface and contribute to the development of hospital initiatives in various departments. Specific focus to special projects in assigned area. There is no hands on patient care.

Under close supervision, perform entry level professional duties providing the opportunity for professional training in various departments within the hospital. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports, assist in preparing written reports; filling; accompany professional level employees on assignment. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the Hospital's organizational structure and services. Utilize Hospital and or department specific software to complete assignments.

Specific activities vary by assignment.

Education

Work Experience

• Prior experience in healthcare (preferred)
