Job summary

Allianz Commercial is seeking a Student Intern for our Toronto office to support the Underwriting team with day-to-day operations, data gathering, and product development support. You'll gain real-world experience in insurance while joining a collaborative, learning-focused team.

You should be a current university student with intermediate Excel and Word skills, a numerical mindset, strong written and verbal communication, and a basic understanding of AI.

The Impact You Will Have

As a Student Intern, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting our Underwriting team's day-to-day operations. Your contributions will directly help the team track performance, stay organized, and bring new products to life. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in the insurance industry while developing skills that will serve you throughout your career. Some of your responsibilities could include:

• Pulling data from various sources and entering it into Excel to run reports, helping the team analyze the department book's performance and monitor progress
• Scanning and saving file documentation retrieved from boxes into the appropriate accounts
• Creating presentations for the department that highlight the features, advantages, and benefits of new products
• Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed
• Supporting additional projects and tasks as assigned

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Currently enrolled as a university or college student
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level
• A strong aptitude for numbers and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• No previous professional experience required. We're looking for curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude!
• A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential

The hourly pay for this role is $25.00.
