Capital University in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an individual to manage student services at the front counter and data management in the Student Information System. The role involves advising students and faculty, processing academic transcripts, and assisting with student registration issues.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and experience in admissions or student services. A strong background in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are essential. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Under the supervision of the University Registrar, this position is responsible for the execution of student service at the front counter and data management in the Student Information System. This includes advising students, faculty and stakeholders on registrar, academic, federal policy and procedures, evaluating extenuating circumstances, answering questions from walk-in traffic, answering the main phone line and directing calls to the appropriate destination, and maintaining the Registrar's general email account. Processes name and address changes, as well as major/minor/advisor changes, and enrollment verifications. Provides official and unofficial transcripts to current students and alumni, as well as faculty and administration. Contacts students by phone for additional information regarding their requests. Serves as a liaison between the Registrar's Office and other university administrators, staff and faculty for the transcript production process.
