You will have the opportunity to drive performance of a growing portfolio of institutional student housing assets across the U.S. by overseeing business plan formation and execution, interfacing across multiple divisions (including Development, Dispositions, Construction and Property Management), taking part in capital pitches, and acting as a key conduit to institutional capital partners and lenders. Take part in due diligence efforts on new developments, focusing on property operational planning.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing real time adjustments to property business plans, finding value-add opportunities, controlling operational expenses, evaluating market conditions, managing property revenue, and working with onsite and regional property staffing across student housing communities. Assisting in cash management and cash planning for property improvements and investment distributions.
  • Support the creation of annual business plans, rental rate strategies, leasing initiatives, and compensation structures for each asset, including consideration of student housing leasing cycles, pre-leasing performance, and turn management. Collaborate on the development reports, models, and infrastructure necessary to perform Asset Management functions.
  • Support the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on the performance of the Company’s student housing portfolio. Perform detailed reviews of property financials, identify trends or issues, and present findings to key internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Property Management teams to evaluate resident experience initiatives, amenity utilization, and operational efficiencies across student housing assets. Support modelling efforts associated with capital events including the sale or refinance of the Company’s assets and assist the execution of those efforts.
  • Communicate and interact regularly with capital partners including preparing analysis and presentations for their review.
  • Provide recommendations on process improvement opportunities throughout the Company to minimize risk exposure and improve execution.
  • Help with the preparation and presentation updates to Senior Leaders and key stakeholders as needed.
